Buying paintings

For the Buyer:

Step 1: Choosing a Painting

Once you complete your registration, you’ll get access to the Catalogue page where you can find various paintings by a number of artists (owners). You may purchase the original painting (if it is available) from the author (owner) on its own individual page.

If the original painting is available, the Buy Original button will be active. Clicking on it will take you to the Shopping Cart page. Accordingly, the selected product will be added to the list of items in your order and will be displayed on this page in sequential order.

Step 2: Checkout – Payment

While on the Shopping Cart page, make sure you have selected the right product to be purchased, then click Place Order. You will get to the page where you can enter a new delivery address or choose from the addresses you have already added. Activate the address by clicking on the check mark located to the left of the address where you want the product (painting) to be delivered. Having added the address make sure to check whether you indicated everything correctly. On the next section of this page, you will need to enter the details of the bank card you will be using for payment, namely: card number, month/year of validity, first and last name of the cardholder (as indicated on the card), as well as the security code (a 3-digit code located on the back of the card).

Re-check the correctness of all the data you filled in, make sure you selected the right product and are fully aware of the amount to be paid. To confirm the payment and the indicated address please click Pay (your order amount in rubles). If your bank requests a confirmation of an online payment, you will be taken to the bank’s page where you will be asked to enter the security code that usually comes as an SMS message (sent to the phone number linked to your bank card). After you successfully confirm your payment on this page, you will be redirected to the page displaying the status of your order.

Please note that the money (seller’s fee) will be credited only when you have received the product (1).

Step 3: Delivery, Tracking and Confirmation of Receipt

Having completed your payment, you will be taken to the Order Status page, where you can see the payment status and the list of products included in your order. You can also see all your paid orders on the Order History page (the corresponding link is located on the main page of your account). You can view the details of your order regarding any specific painting from the order list by clicking the Open button. This will take you to the order details page where you can track the status of your order, check and edit the address within 4 hours after the payment (this function is blocked after this time expires), and write a comment to your order. After a certain time, you will receive a message from the author (owner) containing the code for tracking the parcel with your order, the name of the courier company and the delivery deadline. You can enter the tracking code on the courier company’s website and get more detailed information about the location and time of the parcel delivery.

Please note that the seller (author, owner) of thе painting is fully responsible for the delivery process and the quality of the product. All disputes are resolved via the chat on the order status page, or by making a phone call or sending an e-mail to the company (the contact information is indicated on the Contacts page of the Website). If there occurs some problem with the order, we will do our best to solve it together.

Once the delivery deadline specified by the sender has passed you will receive an e-mail (to the address you indicated when registering your account), where you will need to confirm that you have received your order. Before replying, make sure you have indeed received the product you ordered. If you haven’t yet picked up the product from the delivery office, you will need to do it within 3 days. Otherwise, once these three days have passed, your order will be assigned the "delivered" status automatically. If you have already received your order, you can confirm the successful delivery on the order page.

(1) As soon as you confirm that the order is delivered, the fee from this sale will be redirected to the author. This procedure makes it possible to exclude any kind of fraudulent behavior when sellers receive prepayment or full payment for a painting and fail to dispatch the product for a long time or completely ignore your order.

Returning Products:

If, for whatever reason, you decide to return the purchased product, you can do so in accordance with the Law of the Russian Federation "On Consumer Protection" No. 2300-1 dated 07.02.1992.

Returning Proper-Quality Products

  1. The customer has the right to refuse the ordered Product at any time before its receipt. If the product has been received, it can be returned within 7 (seven) days, excluding the day of purchase.
  2. The return of a proper-quality Product is possible if its commercial appearance, consumer properties, as well as the document confirming the conditions and fact of purchase of the specified Product, are preserved.
  3. The customer does not have the right to refuse the Product that has individually defined properties if the specified Product can be used exclusively by the customer purchasing it.
  4. If the customer refuses proper-quality Products, the seller must refund to the customer the amount paid by the customer under the Agreement, except for the seller’s expenses on delivery of the returned Products from the customer, no later than 10 days from the date of the customer’s submission of the corresponding claim.

Returning Improper-Quality Products

Improper-quality Products are products unable to fulfill their functional qualities due to significant flaws (defects/imperfections present).

The buyer who has been sold a product of improper quality (if this has not been explicitly clarified by the seller) has the right to make any of the following claims at their own discretion:

  • proportionate reduction of the purchase price;
  • free-of-charge elimination of product defects or reimbursement of expenses for their correction by the buyer or a third party;
  • the right to refuse to observe the Agreement and demand a refund of the amount paid for the product.

When returning sophisticated Products of improper quality (a list of such products is approved by Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 924 “On Approval of the List of Sophisticated Products” dated 10.11.2011) the buyer has the right:

  • to refuse to observe the Agreement and demand a refund of the amount paid for the Product.

All of the above claims for the return of improper-quality Products may be submitted within 7 (seven) days, excluding the day of purchase.

The online store has the right to refuse to exchange or return the Product if it considers that the discovered significant defect results from the improper use of the Product or its transportation.

In case of disagreement on quality or reasons for defect origination, all parties to the process have a discussion of the matter until full agreement is reached on all parts.
